SMF 2001 Scanner Mounting Fluid with anti-static properties
The Product: Graphic Arts Scanner Mounting Fluid. A petroleum based product with high anti-static properties. SMF Scanner Mounting Fluid is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, however, flammable. Compliance to OSHA Standards and EPA approved.   AZTEK includes a free SMF Spray Bottle with every case of Scanner Mounting Fluid.  There are four liters in a case.
The Application: Economical Graphic Arts Scanner Mounting Fluid for transparency chrome and negative film mounting.  Use in the same manner as oil. Ideal for double oiling with cover sheet or single scan. No limit on enlargement, no clean-up either. Wipe over drum and start next mounting. SMF is free of grease and oil and contains no alcohol. In application, only tape the leading edge of transparencies in a row, squirt a few drops of SMF between drum and transparencies, pull cover sheet over, apply a few drops between cover sheet and transparencies, work likewise around the cylinder. Before taping the bottom of cover sheet, squirt SMF below cover, seal tightly all sides. Proceed as if mounted in oil. After scanning remove all, wipe over drum with highly absorbent wiper once and start next mounting. (Try our lint-free Scanner Wipes).  No messy clean-up as with oil. Greatly improves productivity. Useful Hints: SMF Scanner Mounting Fluid is filled up in PET-G bottles. The bottle is shaped to fit your hand. The squirt top releases very little at a time. This is intended. Be frugal, KAMI products go a long way. Pre-mounting of up to two days ahead of scanning is possible. Just seal tightly all around, SMF evaporates.
